When working on promotional materials for Riot Culture, Malta’s leading techno event organisers at the time, we discussed creating visuals inspired by 1990s Japanese mascot design. After exploring several ideas, I developed the initial concepts for Riotboy holding a riot shield; however, following feedback and refinement, we ultimately settled on the mace used in the final design.

I also created the ticket design, featuring a sleeve that could be mailed to recipients as part of Riot Culture’s push to introduce physical media across future events. The goal was to use a minimal colour palette to keep printing costs low while maintaining a bold visuals.
